Nik Narain

Nik Narain (he/they) is a writer, comedian, science communicator, musician, drag artist, and visual artist based in Durham by way of Illinois and Texas. A recent graduate of Duke University with degrees in Physics and Visual Media Studies, Nik is dedicated to writing engaging science stories for the stage, page, and screen. Nik has performed his sharp-witted, introspective, and heartfelt stand-up comedy around the world, debuting his first one-hour stand-up special "Rusk" at the Edinburgh, NYC, and Raleigh Fringe Festivals. Nik has hosted of Atsuko Okatsuka and Sureni Weerasekara, and is a regular performer in the Triangle Comedy Scene. Nik holds a background in multidisciplinary neuroscience research, K-12 STEM education, and LGBTQ+ and Mental Health advocacy, which inspire his love for working at the intersection of art, science, and community engagement.
